Pakistan is having quite a year in ODI cricket. The inclusion and rise of youngsters like Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan has made Pakistan kind of invincibles in limited overs format.
Pakistan won another T20I match and series with a thrilling win in the second game of the three-match series chasing down the target with just one ball to spare. They came back in the match twice from nowhere. When Sri Lanka were 106/1 at one stage they collapsed to 124/9 as Faheem Ashraf, another bright prospect, picked up a hat-trick. Pakistan didn’t have best of the chase and it came down to eight runs off the last three balls. That is when Shadab Khan, the leg-spinner who can bat, struck a six to ease down the equation and eventually won the match for Pakistan. In that process, Shadab Khan went on to break Nepal’s Sompal Kami’s almost three years old record. At the age of 19 years and 23 days, Shadab Khan became the youngest to score the winning runs in a T20I game.
